Serving on the Hospital District’s Board of Directors for six years—four as Chairman—gave me invaluable insight into our community’s health and economic needs. Living on the border has shaped my perspective on the complexities and opportunities we encounter daily.
During my tenure, I worked alongside dedicated staff and my fellow MCHD Board members to achieve something remarkable: we reduced property tax rates by 18.8% while simultaneously improving services. Striking this balance is something I take great pride in because it demonstrates that responsible leadership can deliver real results for the people.
